2.8 & 2.9 Dade City and Race Report & Chainbuster Taco Stand Race Report

Saturday, February 8th

Cold rainy day of racing.

Cat 1/2
Jamey and Donny said their race was fast and hard. Jamey came in midpack and Donny supervised from the back of the peloton.

Cat 3
Jason D and Trevor raced well, Trevor went off the front early and got pulled back later on.

Cat 4
Brian had a great race claiming a podium spot, he rode smart and strong. Connor and Dan K. held tough and finished in the pack. Jason Mc rode strong, but got spit out the back on one of the second lap's hills. Boo and Mark visions of glory ended on the last hill of the first lap.

It was fun being out there with so many REV guys, looking forward to Gainsville.

Will post Sunday's results when I get them.

On the mountain bike front Tom and Graham raced, here are there submitted results:

Graham and Tom raced the Chainbuster Taco Stand 6 hr mtb endurance race in Lawrenceville, Ga yesterday. Graham was 3rd in the men's open 2's and Tom was 4th in the Grandmasters division.
Way to go guys.

Sunday, February 9th

Our Cat 4s were the only racer in the crit: Connor, Brian, Dan, and Jason Mc.

Cheryl submitted: "Connor had an awesome race today at the Race for Humanity in Dade City, FL! Super proud of him for his 4th place finish in the Cat4 Criterium. They averaged 25 mph for 50 minutes!!! Gonna be a great year!!!"

Jason McArthur submitted: "I didn't have any legs left from yesterday. Stayed in for a lap and 1/2 and pulled. Metronome guys hammered it from the start, and all of us were in bad positions in the back. Connor was the only one who made it to the main group and he was stuck on the back the whole race."

From what I can extrapolate from my other conversations is both Brian and Dan did not have good position and missed the break. I guess the real estate agents are right, "Location, location, location."

Brian Sciba diving into the corner.

Dan Korecky looking to make a move.
